Inside the Zoo. . .the email newsletter
I love blogging. I really do.
Sometimes, though, I feel like I need something more. Sometimes, I feel like I need to get to know you a little bit better.
So, I want to invite you to get to know me a little bit better, too.
I want to invite you to join me Inside the Zoo.
“Inside the Zoo” is the name of my email newsletter. It’s different than the blog. It’s different because I want it to be that way.
See, here on the blog, I’m writing and sharing stuff without really caring a whole lot if people see it. Of course, I hope people will see it, but I never really know. And then, when people are generous enough with their time to read or watch what I share, I never really know who they are. It feels a bit too anonymous for me, sometimes.
One of the things that I like about doing live presentations and leading RE Barcamp sessions is that I get to see people. I get to know who they are, and they get to know who I am. Its more intimate, even when the room is filled with hundreds of people.
As much as I would like to, I can’t recreate that setting here on the blog. At least, not from my perspective.

“Inside the Zoo” will be my chance to regularly interact with you on a more personal level. A few times a month, I’ll share with you some of the things I’m thinking about, working on, and needing help with. In return, you’re giving me a chance to be more personal and intimate than I can be on the blog. Just by signing up, you’re doing me an enormous favor, and I appreciate it.
Why the zoo? Well, it’s simple– my life is pretty crazy sometimes. I’ve got a lot of stuff going on right now. There’s real estate, there’s basketball officiating, there’s helping folks with technology, marketing, and media, and then there’s fatherhood (my newest adventure). Sometimes it feels like a zoo. But like any zoo, there is plenty to learn from the experience for those who are willing to come inside.
This is my personal invitation to you to join me Inside the Zoo. If you do me this favor, I promise I’ll make each chance we have to interact worth your valuable time and attention.
So, won’t you join me Inside the Zoo?
